1,800-Year-Old Chariot Unearthed

In southeastern Bulgaria Archaeologists have discovered an 1800 year old chariot. The bronze plated wooden chariot was decorated with scenes from Thracian mythology (an Indo-European language of ancient Thrace.). Including figures of a jumping panther and the carving of a mythological animal with the body of a panther and the tail of a dolphin. The chariot was found close to a burial mound that supposedly belonged to a wealthy aristocrat who was buried with his belonging.
